MATT'S

VAN

Matt approached me over a year ago about another van that I had up for sale at the time, it wasn't in his budget to buy the van but we stayed in contact.  When he was ready he finally found a van he was looking for and I agreed to store his van for him until I could book in his conversion.

Matt had planned this van out for over two years so he had done his research, he knew exactly what he wanted. We had an initial meeting and both agreed on the layout. On the day that I had the van in my workshop for the first time, Matt met me there and we spent a good few hours going through the layout drawing lines on the floor with a basic understanding of where he would want power sockets, USB’s etc.

Matt visited me at least every two weeks to see the progress.  I like having visits from customers because as the build goes forward The customer gets a better feel for the van and quite often small things get changed.

Matt's Tech Spec:

  • Four cameras

  • spotlights

  • cell phone booster

  • signal antenna on the roof

  • GPS tracker on the roof

Matt was very specific about what he wanted and I hope that I managed to deliver all of his needs.

Matt’s van can sleep four people: two in a double bed, one on a single and a fourth person behind the cab which additional cushions were made for. There is tonnes of storage that can be accessed from within the van and the storage does not encroach on the garage space under the bed.  There are two drawers and a double cupboard in the kitchen area, a permanent stand-up shower with a basin, pull-out fridge on runners, urinal. He has a Gasflow gas bottle in a gas box plus an additional isolated gas point for a spare gas bottle if needed. A gas connection point on the outside of the van allows for cooking outside the van if required. Matt’s van is built for complete off grid living but at the same time allows for a hook up and one on the hook up the battery will be charged and looked after by the Victron system. The electrical system is controlled by the ABSO DMT1250. This unit controls all the electrics in the van i.e. the solar and split charge.

TESTIMONIAL

'I had been looking for a campervan to my taste for a long time, when going through a lot of campers online, one of Craig's builds got my attention, we got in touch...

When the time was right for both of us Craig started to build my dream van.

Craig's input and vision made my dream come true. I would highly recommend Craig if you're considering having your van converted!

He is very knowledgeable about van conversions, but his carpentry skills definitely stand out.....I wish him good luck in his future endeavors..!'
